Oh, whatever.

This morning on my bus I had a very interesting conversation with one of my best guy friends, Aaron. He's currently reading Twilight, because he's going to go see the movie with me and a couple of our other friends. He's half-way done I believe; at the part where Edward and Bella are in the car, driving back from Port Angeles firing questions at each other.

He didn't exactly say that Twilight was "stupid", per-say, but it seemed as if he implied it. He was making fun of EVERYTHING in the book! Things like the blood-typing, Bella asking Edward how old he was, etc.

Okay, I'll admit (and PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE don't shoot me for this) that I WAS laughing at some of the things he said. Aaron has a very...odd sense of humor, and he used all these different comparisons and jokes; I bet YOU would have laughed too. Of course, thinking back now in retrospective, I shouldn't have laughed. And I regret laughing at the jokes now.

I love the Twilight Series, and hold it very, VERY close to my heart. But, his jokes weren't THAT bad. They were funny, SOME OF THEM. On the other hand, some of them were NOT funny, ESPECIALLY THE ONES HE MADE ABOUT EDWARD.

But, I've been thinking. Is it just the typical guy response that triggers this? Or is he just an inconsiderate jerk, making fun at my beloved books?

He hasn't read any of the others, including my most favorite out of the series Eclipse, so maybe he just isn't seeing the whole picture. Although, he did say he's half-way through and it's all just descriptions to him. Hmm. This has set me thinking.

I encouraged him to read the whole series, but HAD to give him spoilers to convince him, including the fate of Bella in Breaking Dawn and the miracle of Renesmee. I didn't give him FULL details on the birthing and the fight scene; it was very broad and general.

Anyways, sorry this is such a long post. But I would appreciate your opinions, as faithful Twilighters. Do you think I could tell him anything else about the wonders of Twilight? I thank you in advance :)

Oh! And remember to answer this week's Twilight Question of the Week (see top)! I haven't gotten any emails/responses yet, so please write away!

*edit: Sorry if my question was so confusing before. Scratch that out. Just give me your opinions on this matter :)

I would totally have laughed at his jokes so don't feel to bad.

As for your question I don't really understand it, but if I have the right idea I don't think you should spoil it for him, though if that's the only way your going to get him to read the books, then I guess you should just go ahead and tell him.
